My Mortal Coil

What? Not helpful?
[Update: I really love this picture, the mirror pieces and bright beautiful mosaic, the funky letters which I thought were an odd way of saying the English word "Look!" Seems plausible given that the piece is a fragmented mirror. Turns out that "L.H.O.O.Q." is a clever but dirty art history reference. In 1919, Marcel Duchamp took a cheap postcard reproduction of the Mona Lisa and penciled in a beard and stache. As Wikipedia teaches us:
The name of the piece, L.H.O.O.Q., is a pun, since the letters when pronounced in French form the sentence "Elle a chaud au cul", which can be translated as "She has a hot ass," or alternatively "there is fire down below." In a late interview, Duchamp gave a loose translation of "L.H.O.O.Q." as the latter; in fact the term avoir chaud au cul is slang used in the sense of "to be horny".
I would have settled for having a hot ass but nooooo. Yet another example of how ignorance is bliss. 3/9/11]
